Distance Learning for Social Service Projects

We accept challenges to develop job readiness, social skills, craft, and academic training for diverse populations. We also develop other types of learning experiences for specialized audiences with limited time and computer skills. In so doing, we draw on our experience in running hundreds of community education workshops.
  • Through the sponsorship of Ford Motor Company, we designed a Weekend Academy for acedemically at risk Detroit youth.
  • Under contract with the Virginia Department of Social Services we constructed mentor manager training for busy social service providers.

Drawing on our backgrounds as licensed professional counselors and training center managers, our specialists create national learning events that:

  • Highlight emerging best practices for social service organizations
  • Prompt analysis of potential application at the community-level
  • Award participating social workers all of their annual CEU credits (NASW) at no extra cost

Locally, ALTER Think, Inc. provides training and employment opportunities for individuals in transition.

We believe in changing learning so our clients can change the world.
